NSF STEM Rising Stars

STEM New Student Orientation

The faculty at Texas State STEM Rising Stars Project at the College of Science and Engineering invites you and your parents to join us for STEM orientation.

During our orientation session you will learn more about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields and what a degree in STEM can mean for your and your future. Please come to our 2-hour concurrent session and meet faculty and students in STEM disciplines, attend a Q&A session, tour our Maker Space and facilities with amazing gadgets such as 3-D printers and meet other future Bobcats. You and your family can all enjoy FREE lunch and fun give-aways!

2017 STEM new orientation sessions will be held from 11:30am - 1:30pm during NSO on the following dates:

  • June 13, 2017
  • June 20, 2017
  • June 27, 2017
  • July 11, 2017

Viz Stars is an opportunity open to students in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Bio-Chemistry. This is an opportunity for students to improve spatial visualization skills.
